In four pages, you’ll inventory a small sample of your work, identify a recurring problem you help people solve and explore a useful format for that expertise. You’ll finish with a working brief for a possible book, keynote, workshop or training program.
Allow about 30 minutes once you have gathered your material. You can type into the Word document or print it and work on paper.
Start with the material you already have
Choose a few articles, posts, presentations or training recordings. The worksheet helps you look for the reader or participant who needs your ideas, the problem you keep addressing and the examples that support your approach.
You do not need a finished manuscript or a polished framework to begin. You do need a willingness to examine what is useful, what is distinctive and what still needs work.
