What If Your English Teacher Was Wrong?

February 08, 20242 min read

If you bought into the ability of your English teacher to accurately predict your future as a writer, you made a huge mistake.

I can tell you one thing for certain: I couldn't predict the future. (I still can't, come to think of it. Well, unless I predict you want me to get on with it already.)

Too many English teachers -- you know who you are -- think they can predict the future when they tell a student that they will never be a good writer or to give up writing.

If you are reading this post, then the odds are good that you know what I am talking about.

Having taught English to hundreds of students in high school and college, I can tell you one thing I couldn't do. I couldn't predict what would happen to my students in their careers and their lives.

No one can. Repeat after me, no one can.

If you buy into your English teacher's statement that you aren't a good writer and you have allowed that to define you, then I am setting you free.

Want to prove to them how wrong they are? I do.

Write, write, write.

I want to help you write a business book to use as a marketing tool. It's not a crazy idea.

You can do it. I know you can. Lots of other people are writing their business books with my POWER Process. You can, too.

Want to know why I am certain I can help you? Simple. I never told any of my students that I didn't consider them a good writer or that they wouldn't ever succeed as a writer.

I believe everyone has a book in them. I know I can find what it should say and how to help you or anyone else how to create it.

It starts with a simple discussion with someone like me who believes that ANYONE can be an author.
